Set up call forwarding

Forward unanswered business calls to your connected PrimaReply number while keeping the existing phone number your customers already use.

About 5 minutes Updated 4 Sept 2026

What this does

Conditional call forwarding sends calls you do not answer to your PrimaReply number. Your existing business number remains the number customers call.

Before you begin

  • Confirm your PrimaReply number shows as Connected.
  • Keep that number available while configuring your phone service.
  • Identify your mobile or landline provider.

Configure forwarding

Choose your mobile provider for carrier-specific instructions:

For another provider:

  1. Open your provider's official instructions for conditional or no-answer call forwarding.
  2. Choose forwarding for unanswered calls, rather than forwarding every call.
  3. Enter your connected PrimaReply number as the destination.
  4. Save or activate the change using your provider's instructions.
  5. Record how your provider says to disable forwarding later.
Forwarding codes and options vary by provider and plan. Use your provider's current instructions rather than a code copied from another network.
The mobile service code for forwarding when there is no answer is normally 61, not 64.

If your business uses an automated greeting, receptionist or call queue, use Connect a receptionist or business phone system instead of mobile forwarding instructions.

Test it

  1. Call your normal business number from a different phone.
  2. Let the call ring without answering.
  3. Confirm the caller receives your missed-call follow-up.
  4. Check that the conversation appears in PrimaReply.

If it does not work

Confirm the destination number, response coverage, and live status. Your provider can confirm whether conditional forwarding is active on your plan.
