Identify your business phone provider

Work out which platform or company manages your automated greeting, reception queue and after-hours routing.

Your existing phone system stays in front

PrimaReply becomes the final destination only for the calls you choose.

Customer calls

Your existing business number

Your current setup

Greeting, menu and reception stay in place

Nobody answers

The queue reaches its timeout or closes

PrimaReply follows up

The caller can explain what they need by text

Important: the forwarded call must preserve the customer’s original caller number so PrimaReply knows whom to text.

Start with the application reception uses

Ask the receptionist which desktop or mobile application they use to answer calls. Names such as Zoom, Microsoft Teams, RingCentral, 3CX, Dialpad, 8x8 or Aircall normally identify the phone platform.

Check the administration login

The browser address or page title used to edit the greeting, users or business hours may identify the platform. Do not share passwords or screenshots containing private account information.

Check the phone bill

The bill identifies the company charging for the phone service. It may be a telecommunications provider or local IT reseller rather than the underlying platform.

Brands such as Yealink, Poly, Cisco and Grandstream often identify the physical handset, not the service that routes the calls.

Ask whoever installed the phones

Send this question:

Which platform controls our main business number, automated greeting, reception queue and after-hours call routing? We need to configure an external overflow destination while preserving the original caller ID.

If you still cannot identify it

Select My provider manages it in PrimaReply and use the provider-managed setup request. The provider does not need to replace your existing setup; it only needs to add PrimaReply as the selected final destination.
